The rental application has been submitted for the first out of house location !



Construction is coming along nicely ! With all the conduit to be moved to the ceiling , all new lighting installed , new receptacles with dedicated breakers and the walls to be painted ( Likely , that is actually not confirmed what is being done there yet ) ! 

   

The intended advertisement date or the space ( Move-In Ready  ) is expected November 1st . This could however be delayed . However if everything works out for negotiations taking place , that would be our expected date to kick start our next big phase !

Haggar's Alley , we have some bad temps coming . We wanted to do this once the weather turned cool , and this is that infamous last hurrah of Summer so we're hoping to do this after !

General :

2XKO Beta Weekend ! We will be connecting this directly to the main Stage and be streaming a 2XKO rotation all night ! Going to have hand mics on deck at the Main Stage available ! 

   

We now have a PS2 ready 100% unlock save file for Fate / Unlimited Code available here . This has been installed on all Araiguma PS2s for future tournament play . 

   

A new event is also in the works ! Haggar's Alley ! With the blessing from the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center we will be having after the street lights come on tournaments outdoors in the ' The Alley ' behind the building  ! Events will be streamed + mics for commentary , grilling is doable , we can also be as loud as we want due to this not being a residential area . This is currently in the planning phase with dates and first titles to come soon .

This section is usually down at the bottom with a big no ETA on it and how cool things will be . This time , something a bit more to say !

Have been replaced with a full fresh kit of ' Araiguma Station Cards ' we designed last week and just got produced ! 

   

Will be available in many colors for those who might be interested . We have a long backlog of signs that will be slowly brought into production between now and December . 

This was going to be an announcement of , hey ! We got a chat monitor on the Main Stage ! Alas , it's dead . Trying again soon , but since it is there , that is what this will eventually be for !

All dedicated 3rd Strike Side Stream VODs have been removed from UCKITH VODs and moved to their own dedicated Playlist due to multiple requests for finding these easier .

The ' Sexual Themes ' Content Classification has been removed . This is more of a legacy tag and is inaccurate . This was classed specifically for " Non-educational discussions of sexual topics or experiences. " . For those who are new , no need to let your imagination run wild , it was nothing too serious , more of just a matter of not wanting to alienate anyone who did not want to hear this type of talk . It has since seized long ago . 

When reviewing the Twitch ' Content Classification Guidelines ' , we have removed the following content classification : Drugs , Intoxication, or Excessive Tobacco Use due to better review of the guidelines . 

We can also removed the ' Significant Profanity or Vulgarity ' label ! As Twitch states in the lined guidelines , 

" Labeling not required: Intermittent use of vulgar language; brief, occasional outbursts; or more frequent use of mild profanity (e.g., terms like "damn," "shit," or "ass") "

This classification does not apply to us .

Discord :

This is a first ! Our Discord history started as a 4 person group chat . It was called IMC Casuals . Once we hit the 10 person limit ( how it was at that time at least ) we created the Kids In The Hall discord server for our weeklies , along side the UCKITH and Araiguma websites . That was it . What you saw on the Discord last week , is what you saw almost FOUR years ago !

So the Discord has been undergoing a LOT of updates , as you may have noticed through the week . There are still more to come to improve things and tailor things to better suit the needs of those of us who are here , and those friends and fans from afar !

Gamesoft :

This is now exactly a new title announcement but does need to go here being so significant . Marvel V.S. Capcom Infinite is now running as ' MVC:I & Beyond ' ( Aka MVCI:B ) , more information can be found here 

Do note this is listed as BETA and was specifically requested . Stylo should be able to answer any questions you may have being our Marvel General

General : 

Weather Notice ! It will be 90 degrees today peaking between 2PM and 4PM ! We will be operating in Manner Mode until requested otherwise due to humidity . This means not all equipment will be running . To have something powered on , please ask right away , it will be enabled without hesitation . This is just due to how ventilation is handled due to current humidity . 

As of 11AM , Humidity has dropped by 10% so this will be adjusted as we apporach 2PM .

Once the weather starts to turn cooler over the next couple of weeks , we will work on restoring streaming and player cams for tournament based stuff in the Upstairs Hall .

Pop'n Music has been swapped for Nesica x Live 2 ( TTX3 Multi ) . Score Battle is making a return ! More details in the near future . Are You A Bad Enough Dude ?

   

Pop'n currently has a new arrangement in the works !

Broadcast : 

Camera positions on the Versatile City A have been adjusted to be an angled view using gooseneck camera mounts instead of head on giving a far more appealing view , more in the action

Microphone drops have been wired to the Head To Head Room , Main Stage area and Upstairs Hall for on site commentary and other event uses . These will be connected to hand microphones as needed .

General : 

Gauntlet of the Guilty is this weekend ! We're hoping this becomes a more regular of an event and runs again , expecting this to be a good one for all you Guilty Gear fans and beyond ! 

We can also give more information on the weekly 3rd Strike night briefly mentioned in last weeks update . There was a future event , Timeless Romance In The Versus City , which would be held in the upstairs apartment on the New Versus City ! During the wait for this , we are starting up a weekly weekday event , GOOD FOR HEALTH - BAD FOR EDUCATION ! Which is also a 3rd Strike Grind Night but down in the Head to Head room .

GOOD FOR HEALTH - BAD FOR EDUCATION will be streamed . Hand mics will be in the Head to Head room during the rotation for those who have rotated out to get on the mic and discuss matches , talk shit , or cheer on the other players . A chat monitor will be in place to welcome all who wish to participate from afar to get in on the action ! 

This is a strictly 3rd Strike event , spectators and people wanting to just hype it up are more than welcome of course !

Space : 

Lighting has been adjusted in the Head to Head room to be much softer , replacing dual fluorescent tubes with a single soft white LED tube . You likely won't tell much from the photo but once you step in , it is a very big difference . 

   

Head to Head Room and Player Cams have been adjusted for this lighting . 

Broadcast : 

We've got a pretty decent upgrade to The Cage ! Colette has a new monitor and set her old dual monitors and stand here , 

   

There is now a Master Control Monitor , a Multi Viewer Monitor and the Loop Back Monitor to view exactly what the viewer can see . The workflow will periodically be adjusted in the coming weeks . 

Some wiring has also been adjusted so the keyboard and mouse will be easier to use .

A station map has been added , this will be incredibly useful during tournaments for calling players to their stations . 

   

There is now a simple stream guide on how to do basic operation of the broadcast equipment ! 

   

Two audio lines have been run to the Head To Head room for GOOD FOR HEALTH - BAD FOR EDUCATION . As mentioned above this is for players to get on the mic in between rounds and can also be used when 3rd Strike is the main game on Stream during Kids In The Hall

And we're back ! July 20th for The Snap , MVCI bracket and EVO Watch Weekend ! Shoutouts to everyone going to EVO this year , we're cheering for you ! We are not in high heat mode , with low humidity and a high of 80 degrees , all ventilation will active with fresh air . The Upstairs Hall to the Downstairs areas will remain open for circulation . 

Let's also wish a big happy 21st Birthday to Sandwich ! ! You can now offer him drinks ! Well , aside from Root Beer or Jordan Almonds mixed with Orange Juice .  Let's show our boy some love ! 

We've also just about got the funding to field a MiSTer once the Taki Udon boards release ! So we're expecting to have this in the near future ! 

We also now have a public Fightcade 2 account to be set up soon for those who want to get some solo sets against randoms in between in-house rotations .

Leading up to The Snap we got two mods installed for MVCI , one simply changes the training stage from a boring grid to a way cooler grid that Stylo got us the hook up on , along with a major community update that overhauls a lot of the game . 

MVCI graphics have also been updated and the game is looking MUCH better with zero hit to performance . Stylo has approved all these mods herself .
