A space for people to ” grind it out, get competitive as f***, drink coffee, eat snacks and make friends “
Araiguma is not just an arcade—it’s a cultural hub that redefines what it means to bring people together over games. At our core, this space is designed with community at the forefront.
Our layout encourages social interaction—with seating and table areas surrounding , open spaces where players can gather, converse, and even strategize together.

This approach extended well beyond the physical space. We organize friendly tournaments, high-score challenges, and themed nights that act as rallying points for the community. These events are not just about competition—they are about belonging.

Whether it is through informal meets or officially adjudicated competitions, players are given opportunities to showcase their skills, share tips, and even influence the events’ evolution by providing feedback.
This feedback loop is crucial. It is not simply top-down communication from management to players; it is a dialogue where the arcade’s offerings adapted to the desires and behaviors of its community members.
All games are played best 2 of 3 . Winner stays , loser rotates out . To enter a rotation , announce that you have next in line . Remember the face of the person before you and after you .
By listening actively and responding dynamically, we built trust and loyalty, ensuring that the community felt heard, valued, and integral to the arcade’s success.

Moreover, the cultural significance of Araiguma Battle lay in our blend of nostalgia and innovation. While celebrating classic arcade titles, we continuously introduce new games and experiences that resonate with both longtime enthusiasts and newcomers.

The integration of modern digital elements, such as live scoreboards and social media engagement, extends the community experience beyond the arcade’s walls, reinforcing that this arcade is more than a venue; it is a lifestyle.

” It’s not just fighting games . We play everything “
Our model serves as a reminder that deep community engagement is about more than offering arcade / fighting games—it’s about nurturing an environment where every player feels like a vital part of an evolving story.

We also have a Riichi Mahjong Club , The Urbana Mahjong Pit that meets every Saturday just down the hall here in our building !
