06/15/24 – Weekly Update

General :

Unexpected to be adding this , but we are closed this weekend ! ! Kids in the Hall will be hosted by Miss Karp , see her for location / details ! Things to bring : Setups , red plastic cups and drinks if you wish !

Soul Calibur 2 Team Fight went incredibly well last weekend , VOD Here ! Shoutouts to Clint for donating ALL the Soul Calibur 6 DLC with a lot of renewed interest in the latest SC to the series !

Also big thanks to ArcadeRandomPosting for the donation of sanitizing wipes , paper towels , an additional trash can for the Upstairs Hall , trash bags and hand sanitizer !  This really goes a long way , thank you !

And thanks to all of those who brought out stuff to cook , drinks , snacks or did cooking and help cleaning up last weekend that made the grilling so good .

Hardware :

We have taken receipt of an incredible donation . . A Sega New Versus City . For those who know of our two Versatile City setups , they are the unshelled version of this machine with way smaller monitors . Follow along with our Build Thread Here ! !

Broadcast :

Windows Update broke things again . It seems they have adjusted selective USB suspend settings and reverted us having disabled this . Windows has since been selectively suspending the serial bus that handles scene switching on the Broadcast Deck . This has been adjusted , and further considerations being made through this week .

Space :

Some new decor in the Head to Head Room ! Huge thanks to Arcade Candy Co. for the gift of the 3rd Strike banner ! And a shout out for the dope ass Jazzy Circuit banners ! 

We ordered a new box fan in and extension cord but Amazon sent the wrong one , returning but borrowing the one we had on ITG while we wait , so now on Saturday ( if not raining ) we can have cross ventilation and exhaust the Upstairs Hall to the outside in a budget but functional way . The grind sessions have been intense , we endure the heat , we do our thing . That says something . 

So any way to ensure the continuous battle in comfort , we can try new things . Unless someone wants to donate few thousand dollars to correct the root of the problem ! You’re welcome to do so !
