Build log / info for the Main Stage setup for use of the PS2! This was built for the first Soul Calibur 2 Team Fight.
For use on the Main Stage, with Live Monitor and Stream Capture. The upscaler is not the best, but does let us do 4:3 on there, though the Stream won't accept 640x480 just yet. Thankfully SC2 has a native 16:9 mode! Maybe it just looks like what a PS2 would look like on a big LCD? But it works great!
System Interconnect :
Parts Used :
PS2 (With HDD loading / FMCB)
Shielded PS2 Component A/V Cables (Shielding is important, you can get some annoying noise on them otherwise)
Component to HDMI Upscaler (Cheapish Amazon one, 45$)
HDMI Splitter 1 in 3 Out
HDMI Cables (Upscaler to Splitter, splitter to Live Monitor, splitter to Player Monitor, then one back to your capture)
Couple stream side views
