Araiguma Battle : Soul Calibur 2 ! (Conversion / Restoration )
#11
Short but big update on cab progress.

PSU has been installed, the missing exhaust fan has been sourced and installed, all the AC terminated and power tested, DC is good... The System 256 is installed along with the TD I/O to replace the old Namco I/O!

Boot it up! It's alive!

So no Conquest Mode... Well. This SHOULD be here before this Saturday, seriously hoping so! Got the DVD, Dongle and Conquest Data for super cheap. Only needed the Conquest memory card but this really worked out.

Running Version D of course,

Finally getting some more of the art kit from Serenative on the cab along with lots of Sanwa labels,

What's left is to wire up the control panel which won't take long, wire in the speakers then tune the monitor. Right now it's tuned for a very different application so it's going to look real real good. Also put the magnet back, I just noticed on the Conquest notice screen the green there. It's sitting on the shelf with the stereo.. Then it'll be fully playable!

After that, some more cleaning up of the front kick plate, need to get the rest of the missing bolts that hold the control panel closed and locks for the rear door. Tie up all the wiring inside.

It's coming along! Also fuck, looking back at this. This was a dope ass project.. And not even done lol

Thank you!

Something else on this cab, Tekken 5 is wired 1, 2 for the bottom two and 4, 5 on the kick harness for the top two. So the cab is missing those pins completely on the JAMMA connector

so that had to be wired in, not a big deal! What saved a ton of time and let me get it ready for last Saturday was finding a spare connector laying around and popping two pins out of it

And here it is!

Then moved to a new spot for plenty of space to get the rotations cracking,

Just needs some more missing hardware done and the rest of the locks installed. Got some more crap to remove from the front kick plate, and already thinking of how to do a vinyl cover for it. I might also just leave it black, not sure!
