12/16/23 – Weekly Update

Merry KITHMas everyone ! Short update for this week ! Not all that much as been required at this time , everything has been relaxed and cool however we do have more updates to share for the next update of all the things taking place and starting this Saturday ! 

So let’s start this one off !

Space :

We finally have the Christmas Table Cloths out !

The Hall Couch will be INOP short term due to having to be flipped up on it’s side in order to bring in the Soul Calibur 2 machine ! Apologies for those who really enjoyed it . We’re actively searching for a way to lay things out better for this ! Though the fate of it is quite limited . It’s a bit busted up and requires to be held up by landscaping stones so maybe a nice upgrade in our future for the couch is needed ! We shall see !  

The Cage has now a whiteboard ! A generous donation from last weekend ! This will be perfect for using with our future streaming station at the out of house location !

Though as you can see , maybe we need some whiteboard cleaner and better dry erase markers !

We have also added a speaker to the downstairs hall , mounted currently in the Mahjong Pit , wired back up the stereo in the Upstairs Hall .

The ” Heard At Araiguma Battle ” Playlist is now set to be in order of ” Date Added ( Newest ) ” so if you hear something new , you do not have to dig as heavily to find things . 

The ” Heard At Araiguma Battle ” Playlist has been getting pointed to and asked about a lot so some looking at it was done in a way we can make this a bit better . Added a disclaimer in the description that not everything you hear may be found on this playlist . This is due to two reasons . One is a channel deleted by the user . The other can be due to takedowns or regional restrictions . 

A new playlist , ” Heard at KITHMas ” has been added !

Hardware :

Last week we had announced the Versatile City B being streamable but not quite yet ! We also announced updating the broadcast selector which will also be intended to be installed today. If we’re successful at these two updates , we will update this announcement and log them here , of course not editing this text ! ^_^ but we can have some fun pictures to add !

This Saturday we will be receiving the Soul Calibur 2 machine ! All loaded up and ready to go !

Titles :

Granblue Fantasty Versus Rising has released ! However due to current budget constraints , we are unable to support his title at this time . When there is enough player interest for a title , we will always find a way . However at present time , not enough interest has been taken so we must be cautious in how we spend at this time .

A funding drive has been discussed by a group of players who may possibly donate the title . 

As always we will keep an eye on the interest level . It’s purely due to budget !

Tekken 8 and Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:Celes] are planned supported titles and WILL be available at launch . 

Budget :

Since this has come up here and around the arcade so much , I wanted to quickly comment that this is a short term issue . ANY hardware that fails will take top priority along with game updates we WILL find a way . 

Also to note this has zero impact on future events or the future location . This is purely temporary ! Rest assured !
