08/31/24 – Weekly Update
General :
Welcome to the new format for the Weekly Update ! Everything is being moved directly to the website where we have a lot better control , better accessibility for those wanting to look back at the process and growth ( useful for those looking to start an Underground Arcade ) and better shareability .
All previous weekly updates can be viewed here now , each one manually migrated.

And welcome to the last day of August ! Big updates on the new space today !
Looking like we can expect a High of 81 which will be a relief from this week if not for a high expected humidity . We will likely not be able to vent the Upstairs Hall which means low power mode ! Ask when machines are needed and we will power them up !

Space :
Updated the lighting in the Head to Head Room to match the warmth and vibe of the rest of the lower level ,
A thought for the downtown location is to use this type of lighting during open hours , and the main overhead lighting for maintenance or special events that benefit from the main overhead .
Broadcast :
There is a now known issue where NightBot is not showing all messages in the chat, sometimes skipping messages or outright halting . An alternative is being looked into .
Downtown Location :
Negotiations went well . The rental application has been submitted and approved ! Lighting has been installed , all the conduit has been moved to the ceiling ! The room is part of the HVAC load !
Dedicated 20A circuits have been run on every wall , with one of the walls having two sets ,
A couple questions are still in review is how the room will be painted . At present there are some issues with the flaking/dust from paint and old plaster damage . Sounds like the intent is to clean it up get rid of anything that was flaking, either a paint over or scrap off.
A second is in regards to capping some old plumbing .
We have reached out to confirm that the projected ( though anything could come up and cause a delay out of their control ) move in date would be . .
September 15th ! Like . . About 2 weeks from now !
Note to anyone who wishes to assist with this move , please reach out to Yams and let her know if you have not yet ! There will be a discussion created for all those who wish to help and it will be coordinated there and communicated regularly with the plans .

With the approval of our rental application , there is some restructuring and creation of new pages for this next stage for us . One of which will be a ‘ Find-Us Page ‘ and the return of the ‘ Food ‘ page we used to use when doing locals from the origin Hallways .

- Please don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground and please pick up after yourself .
Throwing trash or recycling on the floor or stuffing into shelves leaves a big mess for two that run this to deal with . Use the trash cans and recycling bins 😊- Absolutely no food or drinks on or around equipment .
- If you miss the toilet , PLEASE clean this up .
- Third , please no getting drunk . Having some beers is fine , but it is becoming a problem with things being spilled and damaged due to too much drinking .
