04/19/24 – Weekly Update

General :

Day late on the update ! This is okay , right ? ?

Chilly Saturday with a high of 53 , grills available but coal stock is low . It is also 420 for those of you who celebrate ! Little Caesars running any deals though ? ?

Hearing there is possibly a Skullgirls bracket today , not confirmed at this time but it is sounding like this is the plan .

And to mention Char Night is next week , April 27th ! Bring your best oversized glasses , and accompanying battle gear of your choice to the MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS MAXIBOOST ON tournament ! More info again in next weeks update ! 

Then May 4th , The Killer Instinct ! KI bracket ! More information coming !

Hardware :

Batteries on the keyboards / Mice have been replaced .

Broadcast :

The broadcast deck is now fully set up for multitrack , meaning , all audio is handled ( and correctly ) through the deck . Gone are the days of so different audio inputs with varying settings handling the mix in software ( this won’t really matter for anyone in the Cage , but useful for people interested in audio stuff )

You will no longer hear yourself speak , but will hear others on the mic . If you are solo and want to check your mix , you can monitor fairly easily , there will be a note on how to do this ( image shown for reference , everything is done through pressing buttons , which we all love to do , the broadcast computer does not need touched )

Someone too quiet ? You can now turn them up . Switch from Tekken 8 to King of Fighters 2002 UM ? You can now turn the game audio down , at the broadcast side yourself , without messing with the main stage / cab or head to head audio . 

What you hear is now 100% what the viewer hears . 

A control diagram will be setup , acting as an easy to use guide of functionality . No settings need to be changed except for adjusting faders or muting channels as you see fit ( or screwing with each other enabling voice FX ) .

MIDI Control has been fixed . Scene Switching is now handled on the pads .

All settings have been backed up now that things are finalized , in the event anything were to happen . We will document how to set these decks up for this , as from a brief search many seem to be wondering how to use it this way .
