03/15/2025 – Weekly Update

General :

March 14th was our 6 month anniversary in our first public location !

BOSS Black has been restocked , along with new drinks ! BOSS Brave and BOSS Winning Hand have been discontinued , today will be last chance to get what is left ( Which is not much ) and replaced with new stock !

Discord :

Two additional supported titles have been added to the Server Guide ! Use these to @ other players if you’re at the arcade looking for matches or looking for online games !

Space :

Hardware :

Pop’n Music had an issue identified causing a potentially gameplay effecting spike in drive usage . This was due to a faulty SSD which is now replaced with a new drive and tested to be without the issue .

Restoration work on the New Versus City will begin again soon with the machine scheduled to move to the warehouse for continued service .

Urbana Mahjong Pit :

Notice ! Urbana Mahjong Pit IS OPEN today ! Due to on-going building work , we thought flooring needed to be clear for repairs . Turns out the floor work does not start till Monday ! The club is meeting !

We’re now up to FOUR tables for the Mahjong Club with two more tables just in ! !

The club admin have also made some very useful updates to the website @ riichi.araigumabattle.com and created an account on Bluesky ! You can follow that here @umpriichi.bsky.social !

Weekly meets have been growing as the word is spreading ! If you’re interested , please stop in just down the hall from the Arcade ! Teaching sessions almost always available !

The Urbana Mahjong Pit will also be participating in the CUDO Plays Grand Exhibition, March 22nd ( Next week ! ), which runs from 1PM to 7PM ! La Paloma food truck pulls in at 4PM . We’ll be sure to post an additional announcement closer to that time and again during next weeks Weekly Update !
