01/18/24 – Weekly Update

General :

Lots of new events rolling out for the new year , 2025 is going our first year going in at the new location and we have several major projects underway ! One of which close to completion is our Restoration of Service Project to which we slowly move over all our old features to the new Downtown Location . We are now also ONLY 3 months in this new location !

One of those being the return of MBON ! Not only the return , but an expansion in it’s ability . Find out more in the Hardware section below !

The building is nearing seeking bids for replacing the flooring downstairs ! The process will begin in the two weeks . Part of this means we will eventually get a floor in the arcade ! We will communicate more at that time and work to ensure minimal downtime .

Space :

Salty Bet has returned , this time in full form ! Betting , Total Pots and Chat are now viewable long with the matches ! For those of who unfamiliar with Salty Bet , check out the details here : https://www.saltybet.com/about ( Disclaimer – This is NOT real gambling , site details )

Salty Bet will have it’s own audio independent of the general sound system , as it did at the previous location .

MAXIBOOST ON to support the restoration of service , @Rival Schools , and @Pokemon Trainers for Pokemon players ( Game Soft , not TCG ) to support upcoming leagues . Website :

The website has been completely rebuilt from the ground up ! Much easier to navigate for those seeking information and more useful to the community with the Event section and other planned additions to spotlight the players . We are also in the process of entering a stack of paper brackets into the system to document every single tournament we run with results, quotes and media ( Example here : https://araigumabattle.com/skullgirls-april-20-2024/ ) .

Hardware :

The old main stage setup , which became the ” corner setup ” has been placed on wheels and made to be mobile ! This is for a few reasons . We can now roll this out as a station for casuals and for use during tournaments , Special Events , such as those outdoors or upstairs in the venue . It has returned to service and will be rolled to the North Hall .

The MBON Server ( Dom says it needs a cool name , we agree , someone figure that out ! ) shown is pictured not fully complete but is functionally complete ! Stows along a wall when we’re closed . Not pictured due to the Live Monitor stand being delayed till later this afternoon .

How it works , the center rack stores 4 player monitors . The Server rolls to it’s set location , folding table sets up , remove monitors and place on the table . Taking the large umbilical to the table and plug into the monitors ! Easy setup , easy tear-down , and totally mobile ( Many cosmetic updates planned for the future ) !

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON is back ! !
