01/11/25 - Weekly Update - Araiguma Advanced Battle Center

General :

It had been only a week long closure but felt like months ! Lots of cool stuff happening this Saturday and many new updates !

Events :

This Saturday , in the Ultra Fight Night Series : Ultra Fight Night Da! Kyanta 2 ( The Frosty’s Training Arc ) !

There is also something cool happening with synths and projector mapping today from one of our friends setting up in the Downstairs Hall !

We’re all going to come together to really breathe life into our new neighborhood ! Find this to be yet another filled out and enjoyable spot to hang on Saturdays !

Future plans include updates to the Rhythm Game Hall and Room 27A as we grow in our scope . More announcements on this planned for the next weekly update , but for the sake of HYPE ! !

Website :

We are currently in overhauling the entire website , in an effort to have full control of design and functionality . It will not only be more streamlined but better suited for current and future tournament / score based competition plans .

New sections will now detail every past bracket with media , standings , and other information . All brackets ever done have been kept in a drawer and will be in the process of manually being entered in our new database in the new events section that is coming .

Hardware :

The source of the non functional up motion on the 2P side lever on the NesicaxLive machine has been idenfitied . It appears as though a strange wiring change had been made by the previous owner further down the line , or perhaps a factory assembly error .

The 2P UP triggers in the wrong places . We will work to get this promptly corrected this Saturday ( Triggers S and JOY 4 UP ) .

Space :

The american cabs have been able to be pushed back another 2 inches with the relocation of some old unused things attached to the wall . The JPN head to head machines have been moved away from the american cabs by another 5-1/2 inches , widening the first half of the room

A First-Aid Kit has been added ! It is in an accessable and visible area , we plan to add a sign to make it even more noticable . There were no incidents , just something on the wishlist for a long while !

On the note of the First-Aid Kit we need to stock it and are hoping the community can kick in ! We need simple things , pain relief medicine , band aids , burn cream , neosporin , etc . , so if you’re ever at the store and have a bit extra , bring something through !

We now have the Hall Monitor mounted ! Not pictured powered up , as we won’t have the power terminated inside the arcade until later today ! What will be playing will be dependent on events , during tournaments it will be a stream repeater , on non-event days we will have the usual faire of old school kung fu movies , old school anime or titles from the Foot Clan Collection

Additional blank area has been filled !

New hallway lighting has been added outside our entrance . When turning on the lights , they display normally . We have also replaced all 6 of the burned out bulbs throughout the lower level ( areas we frequent ) . Not only can people see we are in fact open , we have a bit of a trick with this . .

We have implemented a code to change the lighting instantly to a special mode during arcade hours , changing the lighting to view this way ,

We believe this will be well received .

Broadcast :

The broadcast computer has had some major updates . We’ve gone from a GTN 650 to a GTX1050Ti . We’re now running the Nvidia Studio Driver , optimized for OBS , utilizing Nvidia NVENC now rather than CPU ! The stream has been optimized around this new hardware .
